Admission based on SAT/ACT aptitude tests

Applying based on SAT or ACT aptitude test results.

Admission based on SAT or ACT test score results is the main method of admission to the Bachelor in Business at Hanken School of Economics with 60 % of the study places reserved for admission based on SAT/ACT score results. 

   Minimum scores     

    SAT 1100 

    ACT 22

 

Of the 60% study places reserved for SAT/ACT admission, the applicants are divided into two groups based on their educational background. Half of the study places to the programme or 50 % are reserved for applicants applying with a certificate completed outside Finland or a certificate that cannot be considered in the certificate-based admission. Only 10 % of the study places in the SAT/ACT admission method are reserved for applicants applying with a certificate that can be considered in the certificate-based admission to this programme. 

Notice!

Only ACT/SAT test scores that can be verified with the test organiser can be considered. The score report must also be valid during the application period and taken within the last five (5) years. In other words, you need a SAT/ACT test result when you submit your application. 

If an applicant has delivered several SAT or ACT test scores to Hanken through the test organiser by the deadline for attachments, Hanken will consider the test score which gives the applicant the highest score.

Info about SAT test 

The minimum score to be considered is 1100 on the SAT test. Applicants must have completed all sections in the paper based test: (1) the Reading Test, (2) the Writing and Language Test, and (3) the Math Test. Alternatively the digital SAT Suite is accepted if the applicant has completed all sections: (1) the Reading and Writing section and (2) the Math section. Applicants will be ranked based on their total score in the test. 

The last day to register for SAT for the autumn 2023 is 17.11, test date 2.12. The test score must be valid and available to Hanken by the deadline for attachments 24.1.2024 at 3 pm.

Info about ACT test 

The minimum score to be considered is 22 on the ACT test. Applicants must have completed all sections: English, mathematics, reading and science. Applicants will be ranked based on their total score in the test. 

The last day to register for ACT for the autumn 2023 is 17.11, test date is 1-2 December, 2023. The test score must be valid and available to Hanken by the deadline for attachments 24.1.2024 at 3 pm.
