Cecilia Blomster
Cecilia Blomster is a PhD candidate at Hanken and Helsinki Graduate School of Economics. Cecilia is an empirical economist and has experience in applying methods for causal estimation using Finnish register data. She is a labor economist with a special interest in gender and family economics.
In her ongoing work, Cecilia studies gender differences in promotions and their relation to the child penalty in earnings. Her other research projects examine (i) the effects of graduating in a recession on family formation and (ii) the intergenerational transmission of family norms and fertility.
