Ira Chatterjee is an Assistant Professor of Organization Theory in the Management & Organization Department at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and is an affiliated researcher at the Hanken School of Economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Management and Organisation from the Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki. Ira received her MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, and spent 12 years in industry before making the shift to academia. Her research focuses on entrepreneurship and the social impact of business. Specifically, she explores the social innovations and organizational change initiatives that drive social and economic development. In addition to a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Ira has a Bachelor's degree in Education together with teaching certification (AmO) and has extensive teaching experience.
