The 5th Vaasa Banking Research Workshop
The 5th Vaasa Banking Research Workshop is organized by Hanken School of Economics and the University of Vaasa and will take place on September 17, 2024, at the University of Vaasa (Auditorium Kurten (C203), Tervahovi).
The Workshop is a one-day event that aims to bring together scholars to present and discuss topical research addressing different aspects of banking, financial intermediation, and financial stability. Areas of interest include but are not limited to the following topics:
- Financial intermediation and regulation
- Financial stability and economic growth
- Corporate governance of financial institutions
- Sustainability and social responsibility in the banking industry
- Risk management and measurement
- Politics and banking
- Financial innovation and recent banking sector developments
The keynote speaker is Professor Iftekhar Hasan from Fordham University.

Non-presenting participants are kindly asked to register via this registration form by September 11th at the latest. There is no workshop participation fee.
