The European Working Group on Humanitarian Logistics (EURO HOpe) and the HUMLOG Institute at Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki, are organizing the fifth EURO HOpe mini-conference, this year in a hybrid format from Helsinki, Finland.

We are confident that the situation is improving regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, in view of the possible travel restrictions, the conference will be in the form of a hybrid event with as many participants as possible attending in person, and others attending remotely.

The main theme of the 2021 conference is Cash and Voucher Assistance in Humanitarian Supply Chains.

Other topics including, but not limited to:

• Factors that influence modality selection
• Local procurement in humanitarian supply chains
• Market assessment and resilience of local supply chains and infrastructure
• The business models of preparedness and prevention for sustainable operations

We hope to be able to welcome researchers and practitioners to interesting presentations and discussions on how to improve humanitarian response in an increasingly complex and dynamic world.

There is no registration fee. Limited financial aid is available for practitioners’ travel costs.
Registration and submission of abstracts will open on 10.8.2021.  More information on the conference webpage here.

Welcome to Helsinki, - or join us online!
