The Research Council of Finland has awarded Hanken researcher Anna Dziuba a four-year Academy Research Fellowship. The total funding amounts to over 600 000 EUR. Dziuba's project examines how people and communities can be protected and supported during crises without compromising human dignity.

This year’s Anders Wall Scholarship has been awarded to Maxine Buchert, founder and CEO of Meridian, a marketing agency specialising in organic growth on social media. The scholarship, worth over 18,000 euros (200,000 SEK), was awarded by Charlotte Wall, chair of the Anders Wall Foundation, at a ceremony in Stockholm 10 March 2026.

Hanken School of Economics participated in a training programme organised by THL to strengthen anti-racist practices in the workplace. The aim was to explore proactive measures for preventing racism and eliminating its impacts in their own workplaces.

How can we ensure that society continues to function during crises in the future? This is the central question of a new research project in which Hanken School of Economics is participating, together with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

Why are universities holding on-location entrance examinations during the pandemic?
After carrying out careful assessment and risk analyses, Finnish universities have concluded that holding entrance examinations which require applicants’ physical presence and also involve careful safety arrangements is the best way to implement a fair student admission procedure that takes into account subject-specific special requirements and treats all applicants equally.

In February we arrange different Quantum database online training sessions for Hanken students and faculty.

Under perioden 11-18.02.2021 arrangeras det databasutbildningar i olika kvantitativa databaser på distans.

Applicants will be informed of how the entrance examinations will be carried out by 16 March. Universities have continued to prepare student admissions for 2021, taking into account the current coronavirus situation. The aim is to organise the spring and summer entrance examinations on campuses or other physical facilities. The tests are supervised and follow strict safety arrangements.

Biblioteket erbjuder nu alla lärare en testperiod på e-boksplattformen Perlego. Ifall responsen är positiv, d.v.s. att tillräckligt många lärare hittar lämpliga kursböcker för kommande kurser, hoppas vi kunna öppna plattformen senast till höstterminen. The European General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR goes to effect on May 25th 2018. The regulations are naturally binding for Hanken, too.

Från och med fredagen den 25 maj 2018, gäller EU:s dataskyddsförordning (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) som lag i alla EU:s medlemsländer. Förordningen gäller givetvis även Hanken.

Scholars at Risk (SAR) is an international network of more than 460 higher education institutions in 35 countries working to protect threatened scholars. Hanken is one of ten Finnish universities to launch a Finnish collaboration SAR-network.
