Sustainable Development Goals tagging now available in Haris

You can now tag your research output in HARIS using one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as keywords.

If your research relates to one or more of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Opens in new window , HARIS now provides an inbuilt option to categorize your research content using SDGs keywords.

Hanken has committed to mainstreaming and integrating SDGs across research, education and partnerships as part of its commitment to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Opens in new window , of which Hanken has been a signatory since 2008. Hanken is also a part of PRME champions group Opens in new window , which is dedicated to undertaking advanced tasks and game changing projects that respond to systemic challenges faced by the PRME community, including the SDGs.

The SDG tagging will enable:

•    Smooth and accurate collection of information on the research being conducted at Hanken that contributes to achieving the SDGs.
•    Easy accessibility of information internally and externally, potentially contributing to research collaborations both within Hanken and outside of it.

It is easy to add SDGs keywords in Haris for your research merits. In Haris’s templates for publications and participation in conferences, there is a button “Add Sustainable Development Goals.” Click the button and a new window will pop up to enable you to choose one or more of the 17 goals (see the screenshot). More information about how to register your publications, activities and projects in Haris at the library’s LibGuides.

The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030.

Haris (Haken Research Information System) is Hanken’s research database. All the research merits conducted at Hanken shall be registered in Haris. Haris public portal provides an overall view of the publications, activities, and projects of Hanken researchers.
