Humanitarian Unwrapped

Humanitarian Unwrapped Logo
Humanitarian Unwrapped is a brand, new conversational podcast about crisis response and supply chains. Join us every month for a hard-hitting conversation, between academia and the humanitarian sector, about the cutting-edge research conducted by the HUMLOG Institute. “Humanitarian Unwrapped” is the little-sister podcast to “Sustainability Unwrapped” and shares the same conversational tone, where science meets practice, with a humanitarian focus.

The Sword is a special bonus episode format of Humanitarian Unwrapped in which we talk to a recently conferred Doctor of Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility after they graduate from the Hanken School of Economics and the HUMLOG Research Institute.

In this episode, host Anna Zhuravleva sits down with Dr Russell Harpring to reminisce on his time at the HUMLOG Institute. Russell Harpring gained his doctorate in 2023, with a composite thesis entitled “Cash and Voucher Assistance in Humanitarian Contexts: Supply Chain Determinants for Feasibility and Operability". Dr Harpring leaves HUMLOG to begin work as a technical advisor on cash and voucher assistance with Catholic Relief Services.
