Do you need help with information retrieval for your studies?

Make an appointment for help and advice in information retrieval! We can advise you on choosing search words, using smart search methods, finding relevant databases, referencing or formatting your Word document for your thesis. For researchers and staff we also offer support in questions related to publishing, data management and the Haris-portal.

You are also welcome to attend the library's workshops. We arrange courses and workshops on information retrieval, reference management, formatting and data retrieval from our financial databases.

Ontologies and subject index (thesaurus)

The term lists help you find keywords when you search in library directories and other databases.

A Finnish thesaurus and ontology service, which contains ontologies and subject registers in different subject areas. Here you find Allfo, a general Finnish ontology which is a three-language ontology containing mainly general concepts.

Subject headings in law and social sciences.

The Business Source Complete (Ebsco), ABI / Inform and PsychArticles - Thesaurus (ProQuest) databases have their own subject registers that can be used for keyword help.
