Congratulations on being admitted to Hanken School of Economics!

We are preparing to welcome you during the Orientations Days in August 2025. During spring 2025 we are organising events that will help you to prepare all the practical details to arrive to Hanken. Please, note that mentioned time is Finnish time (if not mentioned other) so use the time converter to make sure you join in the right time.

Some events are organised by Hanken and some by external partners (such as Study in Finland, International Helsinki House and others).

 

Webinars in August for international students

We are excited to offer the following webinar for new international students in August to boost the start of your studies and stay in Finland! Join us to gain the insights you need. The sessions will be recorded. 

11.8 at 15:00 or 3 pm (UTC+3) Practicalities for degree students new to Finland 

  • Which registrations with authorities do I need to complete when I arrive in Finland? What other task do I need to remember upon arrival? This webinar sheds light on your to do-list as a degree student new to Finland. Join via the Teams link

11.8 at 15:30 or 3.30 pm (UTC +3) Information about scholarships and tuition fees for students admitted to Marketing and Management in Vaasa. 

  • When do I pay tuition fees? How is tuition fees connected to the annual registration? Are the exemptions to the tuition fees? Can I get a scholarship later on in my studies? If you are liable for tuition fees or exempted from tuition fees, attend this webinar to gain all the information you need for your time as a student. Teams link

 

13.8 at 16:00 or 4 pm (UTC+3) Language studies for international master's students

  • Finland is a bilingual country with both Finnish and Swedish as official languages. Learning the local languages opens doors, helps you build connections, feel at home, and strengthen your career opportunities.  
  • Why learning Finnish and/or Swedish is valuable for your life and career in Finland. Language courses, mentoring, and language café at Hanken, both in Helsinki and Vaasa. Practical tips, external resources, and self-study opportunities (e.g., Language Boost) .You will meet language teachers from Hanken and of course, there will be time for your questions.  
  • Join the online session through this Teams link. No pre-registration is required. 
 
 

 

PhD students participate in the onboarding camp in the beginning of August.

Schedule has been sent separately to all newly admitted doctoral researchers.
