New ambassadors for Hanken

Hanken's External Stakeholder Advisory Board (ESAB) enters a new mandate period, and thus this has also reflected as some changes among the Hanken ambassadors. Through involvement in Hanken's operations, the Hanken ambassadors provide support and advice and help to spread positive synergies around Hanken.

Alumni who are active in Hanken's various bodies and councils, are appointed as Hanken ambassadors and ESAB is one of the School's strategic advisory bodies where Hanken's alumni are involved and in such way support Hanken’s operations. ESAB consists of representatives from the business community with the task of discussing the development of Hanken to reflect the needs of society and the business sector, with strong emphasis on future trends and signals from the labour market.

- We are facing major societal challenges, which in many ways will be tough for Hanken as well. However, these challenges make us explore new opportunities and solutions to navigate our operations forward. It is very valuable that our alumni are part of Hanken's advisory bodies, and we are very grateful for their input and perspective from the labour market. In this way, we maintain an open dialogue and gain insight into the future needs of the business community, says Hanken’s Rector Ingmar Björkman.

Hanken's External Stakeholder Advisory Board is chaired by the Rector and had its first meeting in October 2023. The meeting focused on Hanken's renewed strategy and the importance of interaction between the university and the business community.
