Hanken’s total annual carbon footprint* in 2025 was 11 876 tCO2e. Emissions decreased by 3 % compared to the reference year 2018 and by 16 % compared to 2024. A vast majority of Hanken’s climate emissions arise from its value chain.

A new book in Finnish, Vastuullinen vuokranantaja (Eng. The responsible landlord), delves into landlord responsibility from all ESG perspectives: environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and good governance. The Board of the Hanken Support Foundation has appointed Mia Bengts as Ombudsman for the Foundation from 1 August 2023. Mia Bengts is a Hanken alumna and has a law degree from the University of Helsinki. The Foundation's current Ombudsman Paul Taimitarha will retire on 1 September 2023.

Styrelsen för Stiftelsen Svenska handelshögskolan har utsett Mia Bengts till ombudsman för Stiftelsen från den 1.8.2023. Mia Bengts är ekonomie magister från Hanken och jur.kand från Helsingfors universitet. Stiftelsens nuvarande ombudsman Paul Taimitarha går i pension den 1.9.2023.

Due to maintenance work outside Hanken's main building in Helsinki, there will be an interruption in the heat supply throughout the building on Monday 11 October from 8 am to 7 pm.

The results of the survey were published on a webinar broadcasted from Hanken the 17 June. The event will be annual.
