Danske Bank is the latest company to join the Hanken Partner Programme.
“We want to make students aware of the opportunities available in Danske Bank, where you can grow within diverse roles and explore the different parts of one of the largest Nordic banks,” says Talent Acquisition Partner Bessy Sederlöf.

Danske Bank, headquartered in Copenhagen, operates in all Nordic countries as well as in cities such as New York and London. The bank mainly serves private customers, corporate clients, and large companies and institutions. In Finland, the bank has around 1,700 employees and approximately 22,000 globally.

Sederlöf says the bank looks forward to the collaboration.

“Hanken has a strong reputation and merits. The level of education is high, which is reflected in the students’ knowledge and attitude. Students have a desire to grow which aligns well with Danske Bank’s culture and values. To succeed as a company, we need people who can and want to develop beyond sole expertise. Therefore, Hanken is an excellent partner for us.”

Sederlöf tells that students can be offered both internship and junior positions, in addition to full time roles after graduation, including opportunities abroad.

“Each summer, we also hire dozens of first- and second year students to our customer service. In addition, there are various internship opportunities across our different business units each year.”

According to Sederlöf, good analytical abilities and experience from customer interactions are valuable skills to have at Danske Bank.

“Regardless of role, we value strong collaboration and communication skills as well as the ability to take ownership of your own work, aligned with our culture pillars ‘team up’ and ‘own it’. Considering that the banking sector, along with many other industries, is evolving rapidly, the ability to adapt and take on new information quickly are also important.”
