Enkät om sociala medier och karriärutveckling

Anna Wallin och Petri Nokelainen vid Tammerfors tekniska universitet leder ett forskningsprojekt kring sambandet mellan användning av sociala medier och universitetsanställdas utveckling av det egna professionella kunnandet och karriären.

How does social media use relate to university staff members’ career development?

Is there a connection between workplace as a learning environment, social media use and career success?

In order to answer these questions, Tampere University of Technology is conducting a “Social media and professional growth” -survey among the staff members in Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences. The survey is a part of a research project, which studies how digitalisation relates to the professional development of workers in Finland. The aim is to develop and support the staff members learning at work, expertise development and professional growth. Your answers are crucial and irreplaceable in order to receive as reliable data as possible regardless of whether you use social media or not.

The project is a part of a larger research project called “Skills, Education and the Future of Work”. The project is funded in 2016–2019 by the Strategic Research Council (SRC) at the Academy of Finland. The results will be reported in international scientific publications and we will also present the results in national and international conferences and in media.

Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary and all of your responses will be kept confidential. It is not possible to identify a single respondent or institution from the research reports.
