The Vaasa Science and Arts Carnival is a multilingual event aimed at everyone interested in science and research. The event takes place on 7–8 November 2025 and features discussions, interviews, lectures, and presentations.

Welcome to the first CERS Research Seminar of this academic year, featuring our guest Professor Yves Van Vaerenbergh from KU Leuven. After the seminar, Professor Van Vaerenbergh will serve as the opponent for one of our Doctoral Researcher Hoang Khuat. The seminar will take place in the Teachers’ Lounge (A516) on October 10, from 13:00 to 15:00.

Welcome to a breakfast seminar with behavioural strategist and Hanken alumnus Jori Grym. During the seminar, Grym will explore how the Finnish Tax Administration utilises behavioural sciences for customer-orientated management, boosting tax morale and employee experience. Jori will also talk about how he gets to apply many of the disciplines that are taught at Hanken on a daily basis. Breakfast is served at 8 a.m., followed by the seminar from 8.30 to 9.30 a.m.

The HNPW, organized by OCHA, is the largest events of its kind, providing a collaborative space for practitioners and experts from a large variety of humanitarian stakeholders including UN agencies, Member States, NGOs, the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, academia, the military & private sector initiatives, to collaborate in identifying solutions to common challenges in crisis preparedness and response.
