Behavioural strategy in action - from behavioural sciences to practice

Welcome to a breakfast seminar with behavioural strategist and Hanken alumnus Jori Grym. During the seminar, Grym will explore how the Finnish Tax Administration utilises behavioural sciences for customer-orientated management, boosting tax morale and employee experience. Jori will also talk about how he gets to apply many of the disciplines that are taught at Hanken on a daily basis. Breakfast is served at 8 a.m., followed by the seminar from 8.30 to 9.30 a.m.

Jori Grym is a Hanken alumnus currently working as a behavioural strategist at the Finnish Tax Administration. In addition, Grym teaches consumer psychology at Hanken School of Economics, drawing from his experience within the field of behavioural sciences. Grym completed his doctoral studies at Hanken School of Economics, focusing on moral psychology and ethical decision-making concerning tax morale.

During his career, Grym has taken part in projects applying a customer-orientated approach to government and organisational efficiency, done high-level modelling of tax morale, and worked on measuring customer experience as well as improving customer relations. Other projects which Grym is a part of include a project aiming to help the Tanzanian tax administration in implementing behavioural interventions, along with working in the Behavioral Insights team at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

In his seminar, Grym will explore how the Finnish Tax Administration utilises behavioural sciences for customer-orientated management, boosting tax morale and employee experience.
