Professor Eero Vaara to EIASM's Managing Board

Professor Eero Vaara has been appointed member of EIASM's Managing Board. The board consists of professors in business and management from European universities and business schools. Hanken School of Economic's Rector emerita Marianne Stenius previously held the position as President of the board, a position now held by Professor Chris Chapman from Copenhagen Business School.

EIASM Opens in new window (European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management) is a European network for research and doctoral education in business and management, and has been operating for over 40 years. Hanken is one of the founding members. EIASM organises conferences and workshops as well as doctoral courses through the EDEN programme. Additionally, EIASM administers eight European associations in business and management such as the European Accounting Association, European Finance Association, European Marketing Academy and the European Academy of Management.

"EIASM plays an important role in Europe and the whole world by providing workshops and by facilitating development programmes, research funding initiatives and the building of networks and institutions. Marianne has done a great job as the President of the board, and we should all be grateful for her contribution. At Hanken we can directly benefit from EIASM's activities, and also, by actively participating, affect how our European institutions will look like in the future", says Eero Vaara.
