According to a survey conducted among exchange students who stayed at Hanken School of Economics in the spring of 2023, 87% of the respondents would recommend Hanken as an exchange university.

The exchange students were very satisfied with the introduction at Hanken and the support they received from the different units throughout their stay. Most of them thought that the range of courses offered at Hanken was broad. The courses in management and organisation and marketing were particularly popular.

The Student Union and the Exchange Committee Opens in new window were highly appreciated and were praised for organising so many different activities and taking good care of the exchange students when they arrived in Finland.

"We are so happy and grateful for our active student union and the Exchange Committee. Without them we would not have such great results in this survey year after year", says Towa Blomqvist, International Coordinator at Hanken.

Emilia Jansén, chair of the Exchange Committee, says that it is always a pleasure to hear that the exchange students have enjoyed their time at Hanken.

"I know I speak for everyone in the committee when I say that it is at least as much fun to organise events for the exchange students as it is for them to participate. You get to know people from different cultures and backgrounds very well in a short time, and the contacts you make are incredibly valuable for everyone. Together we create memories for life, both at official events, while travelling and during spontaneous meetings," says Emilia Jansén.

The survey has been conducted every semester since 2012 among the students who have been staying as exchange students at Hanken. 53 out of a total of 77 exchange students (69%) responded to the survey this time, which is a very good response rate.
