Evaluation of research continues

In the current strategy, Hanken 2025, the areas of strength-policy plays an important role and a new evaluation of research will be conducted during spring 2018.

For this purpose a work group has been appointed, which is lead by the Dean of Research Timo Korkeamäki. The tasks of the workgroup is to approve guidelines for the external panel's work and for the self-evaluation reports, collect data and material, identify members for the external panel and organize the panel's visit at Hanken. Rector has now decided on the members of the external panel that will evaluate the research:

Nine applications for evaluation for Area of strength were submitted within the deadline. The evaluation of research will now proceed in two stages. The first stage consists of a bibliometric report for each main subject along with the main subject comments on the report. In the second stage there is an evaluation of the research groups which is based on their self-evaluation reports.

The Area of strength-applicants have to submit their self-evaluation reports by 15 December 2017 and the comments on the bibliometric reports are to be submitted by 15 January 2018. The external panel will gather during spring 2018 and their report is to be finalized during summer 2018.
