The Frontiers in Service Conference is the world’s leading annual event for service research. In 2026, the conference will be organised by CERS at Hanken School of Economics.

During the afternoon seminar we discuss comprehensive security in the region in the light of a changing environment, with representation from the Finnish ministry of Defence, and with the ambassadors of four countries in the region. In addition, Hanken's research about the need to redefine and secure critical societal functions in the face of digitalisation, geopolitical tensions, and global uncertainties is presented. The event will be held in English and requires registration.

Key topics will involve the development of the ecosystem, as well as the identification and growth of unicorn companies. During the night Silicon Vikings Pitch Grand Finals will take place, where the best startups/scaleups of the Nordic countries will compete against each other.

The aim of the unicorn night is to bring together cutting-edge research, companies and public actors with regards to the unicorn phenomena. Key topics will involve the development of the ecosystem, as well as the identification and growth of unicorn companies. The Computer centre is performing maintenance on Thursday february 24th. The work will cause disruptions in the data connections from the office in Vaasa.
