Hanken School of Economics has launched a new MOOC in English, a free online course about modern supply chains.

This year’s Anders Wall Scholarship has been awarded to Maxine Buchert, founder and CEO of Meridian, a marketing agency specialising in organic growth on social media. The scholarship, worth over 18,000 euros (200,000 SEK), was awarded by Charlotte Wall, chair of the Anders Wall Foundation, at a ceremony in Stockholm 10 March 2026.

A new book in Finnish, Vastuullinen vuokranantaja (Eng. The responsible landlord), delves into landlord responsibility from all ESG perspectives: environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and good governance. The book is written by Hanna Silvola, associate professor of accounting at Hanken School of Economics and journalist Kati Valjus.

Hanken has signed new student exchange agreements with Esade Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Spain and University of Aberdeen i Aberdeen, United Kingdom. Johanna Karanko and Nicola Lindertz are Hanken alumni who both became ambassadors. Karanko is currently stationed in Brazil while Lindertz serves in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Among other things, they are working to promote the interests of Finnish companies and they have recognised many business opportunities in South America.

This year’s winners of the Sustainable Finance in the Quantum Era Hackathon arranged at Hanken School of Economics developed a quantum optimisation algorithm focused on the logistics industry. Their findings show improvements in both problem-solving efficiency and time reduction.

Hanken student Henrik Helenius has been awarded the Anders Wall scholarship of approximately 20,000 euros for having excelled in entrepreneurship and creative thinking. The scholarship was presented on 10 March 2023 at the Anders Wall Foundation's scholarship award ceremony in Stockholm. Helenius is one of the founders of Droppe, a marketplace that sells supplies to industrial companies.

The Finnish Innovation Index (FII) is a national measure of perceived innovativeness of companies among Finnish customers who have during the last six months purchased or used the products of the included companies.
