Economists work both within the private and public sector as analysts, researchers and consultants.

Recently there has been an increased demand for economists by consultancies and tech-companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber and Airbnb. Examples of employees within the public sector are the central banks, ministries of finance, competition authorities and various bodies within the European Commission.
