What you will learn
Studies in economics develop critical and independent thinking and provide a deeper understanding of the economy and society. You learn to analyse and interpret complex data and trends as well as apply economic thinking in various areas.
Available courses
The bachelor's studies in economics consist of core courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics. The courses in microeconomics cover, among other things, the analysis of competition with a focus on how companies, organizations, and industries should be organized to achieve efficiency. The courses in macroeconomics focus on, for example, economic policy, the labour market, and monetary policy

After your bachelor's degree
After you have completed your bachelor’s studies, you can continue to study for a master's degree. The master's program has two study tracks: a general economics track and an economics research track. The courses in the master's program in economics are offered in collaboration with Aalto University and the University of Helsinki within the framework of Helsinki GSE.
