Modern teaching methods and collaboration topics of this year’s Peda-forum event

This year the conference is arranged in a unique collaboration between Hanken and the National Defence University on 20-21 August 2015.

The Peda-forum network arranges annual development conference on teaching and university pedagogy. All Finnish universities arrange the event in turns, this year the conference is arranged in a unique collaboration between Hanken School of Economics and the National Defence University on 20-21 August 2015.

The theme of the conference is “Strength through collaboration” in order to stress the importance of collaboration between different parties in teaching as well as the need for both national and international networks within the university sector. The international aspect of the conference is illustrated by the fact that for the first time the event is offered in three languages – Finnish Swedish and English.

During the conference the participants will hear presentations and take part in workshops on topics such as the role of MOOCs and avatars in future pedagogy, modern teaching facilities, digitalization, and the collaboration between universities and employers. Among the key note speakers are professor emeritus Yves Epelboin from UPMC – Sorbonne University in Paris and chairman of the board Björn Wahlroos.
