Non-degree studies

Hanken offers non-degree students many different possibilities to take courses at Hanken, ranging from single courses to study modules in different subjects. We offer courses on all levels and both to students at other universities and anyone wanting to learn.

MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)

Hanken offers MOOCs – globally available courses open to everyone. Hanken offers several MOOCs in subjects such as service management, logistics and sustainable development.

Programs and Executive Education - courses for alumni

Through various programs and forms of executive education you are able to keep your knowledge up-to-date. Hanken offers a wide range of courses and seminars, varying both in length and content in Helsinki and Vaasa via Hanken & SSE Executive Education.

Hanken's open studies available on Opin.fi

The Opin.fi website brings together open studies from universities and universities of applied sciences across Finland – all in one place. Hanken’s courses are now also included, for anyone looking to strengthen their skills and knowledge.

Competence centres bring research and practice together

The research and competence centres at Hanken co-ordinate education, promote research and offer a wide range of services in information and executive education. The centres are organised under the departments in their respective fields and work in close cooperation with the business world.

Information Service - the Hanken library at your service

The Hanken library offers much more than just course literature. Like society itself, the Hanken library today is more of a hybrid consisting of printed book collections, electronic material and a study environment that is both dynamic and wireless.

New study voucher opens doors to higher education for free for young people without a study place

A new study voucher is launched today in Finland. The voucher offers 30 study credits in higher education free of charge to young people who graduated from upper secondary education but were unable to secure a study place.

The admission criteria for 60-credit open university courses have been updated

The admission criteria for the Swedish Bachelor’s programme for applicants applying via the 60-credit open university programme have been updated. The new admission criteria will apply from the 2027 application round onwards.

Hanken launches Diploma Programmes to boost career-ready skills

Hanken School of Economics’ new diploma programmes offer a flexible opportunity to develop expertise in topical and relevant areas such as intellectual property law, corporate responsibility and supply chain management. The programme begins in autumn 2026.
