How to apply

1. Familiarize yourself with the requirements

  • Familiarize yourself with our majors, supervisors and admission requirements and plan what major you are going to apply to. You can select only one subject/major in your application but you can apply to the same subject in both Helsinki and Vaasa.
  • Take all tests (language and/or GMAT/GRE-tests) before the end of the application deadline and remember to request the test organisation to share the result with Hanken.
  • Make sure your research topic is covered by Hanken and start collecting the required attachments

2. Submit your application

  • Complete the application in the application portal Studyinfo.fi as early as possible after the application period has started. The final application deadline is 8 January 2026 at 3:00 PM (UTC+3).
  • Upload your attachments to the application by the 15 January 2026 at 3:00 PM (UTC+3)
  • The application form cannot be saved as a draft so collect all your attachments before you start to fill in the form.
  • Once you have submitted your application, you will no longer be able to change your answers, except for your contact details.

3. Processing of applications

  • The Admissions Services evaluate your general eligibility.
  • Applications that fulfil the general admission requirements are forwarded to the programme or programmes you applied to for academic assessment. Based on their proposal it is then the rector who makes the final admission decision.

4. Receiving the admission results
