Hanken student Emil Rantatulkkila awarded this year's Anders Wall scholarship

This year’s Anders Wall scholarship was awarded to Hanken student Emil Rantatulkkila. The award was presented at the concert house Musikaliska Akademien in Stockholm on Anders Wall’s birthday 10 March 2017.

Emil has not only shown excellent study results, but also developed a social media channel, Pongfinity, that has attracted a lot of attention and has great business potential globally. Through Pongfinity, he posts table tennis related videos on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube together with a few friends.

Now Emil is studying in Singapore to get a deeper insight in Asian culture and business life. He studies Mandarin Chinese to increase the visibility of Pongfinity in China, where table tennis is a national sport. His goal is to help European and Asian enterprises get into new markets by means of creative marketing videos that combine product placement and table tennis humour.

"I would like to develop my entrepreneurial activities in Pongfinity. This scholarship gives me the possibility to upgrade my camera gear and work together with other big social media channels all over the world", says Emil.

The Anders Wall scholarship of 125 000 SEK (approx. 13 500 euro) is the biggest scholarship awarded to a Hanken student. The Anders Wall Foundation annually awards SEK 2 million in scholarships to young entrepreneurial talents in the fields of research, young entrepreneurship, international studies, and culture. The Anders Wall Foundation brings together a large group of young people interested in entrepreneurship and introduces them to the alumni network, Wallumni that arranges regular meetings for its members.
