Through Hanken’s JobShadow initiative, international students get a one day look at Finnish working life from the inside. For Isra Ali and Timo Thang Do, that experience took place at Accenture and Valmet.

This year the Fazer Award goes to Alice Saraiva. The €15,000 award is given to a Hanken student who demonstrates strong values and good academic performance.

The European Commission has announced that ENGAGE.EU is to receive a follow-up grant to the amount of € 14.4 million for further elaborating the collaboration among nine European universities. Hanken School of Economics has been involved in the collaboration since May 2022, and now with the renewed funding will become full member of the ENGAGE.EU alliance.

This spring Hanken has taken some concrete steps towards making the vision of a carbon neutral Hanken 2030 a reality. These include joining the Climate leadership coalition, adopting responsible investment principles for investments and appointing a sustainability group.

The majority of Finnish companies are generally committed to respecting human rights. However, only a quarter of companies systematically and publicly assess the impact of their business activities on the realisation of human rights.
