Hanken is again starting the Swedish and Finnish Language Café to provide a welcoming, relaxed environment where students, doctoral researchers and staff can practice and improve their language skills. We are looking for committed tutors to join us! Read more and apply below.
About the Language Café
- When: Every second Wednesday, 16:00–17:00, at the Teacher’s Lounge, during the time period 4.11.2026-28.4.2027.
- Who: Open to all Hanken students, doctoral researchers and staff learning Swedish and/or Finnish
- What: Small-group discussions by language and skill level, covering culture, work-life in Finland, traditions, and more
- Atmosphere: Supportive, fun, and interactive, led by tutors
What does your role as tutor include?
- Lead fun and interactive conversations together with a small group of tutors
- Help plan session themes with guidance from the Hanken International Talent/language team.
- Run 1-hour sessions from 16:00 to 17:00. Each session requires about 4 hours of work in total, including preparation, the session itself, and post-session follow-up.
- Be part of a welcoming, international, and inclusive environment.
Requirements to become a tutor:
- Fluent in Swedish and/or Finnish
- Available for all sessions in the academic year 2026-2027: 4.11, 18.11, 2.12, 20.1, 3.2, 17.2, 3.3, 17.3, 31.3, 14.4, 28.4
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable guiding group discussions.
