Standupkomikern Karim Aldulaimi utgår från livet mellan två kulturer för att genom humor göra skarpa iakttagelser ur ett utifrånperspektiv. En panel bestående av aktivister och forskare tar sig an frågan om vilken roll akademin spelar i att upprätthålla kolonialism och västerländsk kunskapshegemoni, från grindvaktande strukturer till nordiskt förnekande av rasism och ras. Tillsammans frågar vi oss: Vad måste universiteten göra för att bemöta och motverka rasism?

Evenemanget fungerar också som en träff för studerande inom CR-modulen och diplomprogrammet.

Stand-up comedian Karim Aldulaimi draws on life between two cultures to make sharp outsider observations through humour. A panel of activists and researchers confronts the role academia plays in sustaining colonialism and Western knowledge hegemony - from gatekeeping to Nordic denial on race. Together, we ask what must universities do to confront racism?
The event also serves as a get-together for CR Module and Diploma Programme students.

Som en del av SDG-veckan fokuserar det här frukostseminariet på EU-direktivet Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (EmpCo), samt dess konsekvenser för hållbarhetskommunikation och påståenden riktade till konsumenter. Under seminariet berättar arbetslivsprofessor Laura Ihanainen mer om EmpCo, följt av en panel bestående av företagsrepresentanter med insikter i hur företag förbereder sig för och implementerar EmpCo-direktivets krav.

As part of SDG Week, this breakfast seminar will shed light on the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (EmpCo) and its implications for sustainability communication and claims directed at consumers. The seminar will feature a keynote by Professor of Practice Laura Ihanainen, followed by an expert panel with company representatives, offering insights into how businesses are preparing for and implementing the EmpCo Directive’s requirements.

During this edition of Hanken Insights, we will discuss how sustainability, regulation, and geopolitics shape the investment landscape in a changing world. The Future of Robotics in Finland Seminar started in 2013 and will be organized again this year on Friday 22.11.2019. To address the trends in Ethics and AI related to robotics, the theme this year is Economical and Ethical innovation and AI in robotics.
