Prof. Jan Bebbington from Lancaster University will talk about her new research: Accounting infrastructures for biodiversity outcomes.

Jan Bebbington is the Director of the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business at Lancaster University and has published on topics such the Sustainable Development Goals; sustainability science; the functionality of reporting and sustainability assessment. Jan is involved in a long-term collaboration between ecologists and sustainability scientists that aims to provide knowledge to a practice-based cohort of seafood companies who are seeking to actively contribute to ocean stewardship. Alongside her academic work, Jan has also contributed to the practice and policy communities in a variety of roles including, for example: the Intergovernmental Panel of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services and the Business and Biodiversity working group; advisor to the Global Reporting Initiative on their biodiversity standard and contributes to the Sustainability Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
