The Alumni celebration for Master's degree graduates* will be held Friday 2 October 2026 in Helsinki. This is an opportunity for Master's degree graduates from the academic year 2025-2026 to celebrate this achievement together!

Doctoral researcher Nana Appiah-Dwomoh who majors in management and organisation will defend the doctoral thesis ”Employee Sensemaking of Human Resource Management Practices and Work-Related Wellbeing”.

Den årliga konferensen Frontiers in Service, ett ledande evenemang för tjänsteforskning, arrangeras år 2026 av CERS vid Svenska handelshögskolan. Konferensen ordnas på engelska.

The Frontiers in Service Conference is the world’s leading annual event for service research. In 2026, the conference will be organised by CERS at Hanken School of Economics.

Doctoral researcher Rakshya Bhattarai who majors in management and organisation will defend the doctoral thesis ”The Participation Game: Designing Participatory Budgeting with Gamification and Public Value for Meaningful Engagement”.

Doctoral researcher Inkeri Tanhua who majors in management and organisation will defend the doctoral thesis ”(Re)producing occupational segregation: Discourses and experiences of exclusion in vocational education”.

Under detta Hanken Insights evenemang kommer vi att diskutera det aktuella läget på den nordiska arbetsmarknaden och hur den formas av teknologiska och strukturella förändringar. Vi behandlar även handelshögskolans roll i att säkerställa att nyutexaminerade ekonomer har de rätta verktygen för att möta arbetsmarknadens behov. Talare inkluderar Juhana Vartiainen (arbetslivsprofessor, Hanken), Sofia Bougt-Hernnäs (biträdande professor i nationalekonomi, Hanken) och Lari Hintsanen (VD för Deloitte Finland). During this edition of Hanken Insights, we will discuss the current state of the Nordic labour market and how it is shaped and impacted by technological and structural changes. We will also discuss the role of business schools in ensuring that graduates meet the changing needs of employers. Welcome back to Hanken!

A new academic year has begun and after two long years we can finally start school physically at Hanken together again.

To mark this, Hanken, together with SHS and SSHV, has decided to organise a small fun event in the Hanken foyers - both in Helsinki and Vaasa, on Tuesday 13.9.2022 from 12 - 15!

PwC kommer att finnas på plats på Hanken under flera tillfällen så passa på att komma och säga hej till ett eller flera av aktiviteterna!
