Hanken's new strategy: For an international Finland and a sustainable world

Hanken School of Economics' new strategy, Hanken 2030 - For an international Finland and a sustainable world, has been approved by the Board of Hanken on 13 December 2023.

“Our strategy has been shaped by engaging our community in a process that has included a staff survey, a thorough analysis of our operating environment and a series of workshops with staff, students, alumni, advisory bodies and the Board. It has been great to see the strong commitment and the great interest in influencing that we have seen during the strategy process”, says Hanken's Rector Ingmar Björkman.

The strategy, which runs until 2030, presents a new mission, vision and values for Hanken, and contains five different sub-strategies that will form the operations in the years to come: education, research, societal engagement, sustainability and responsibility, and enablers.

Chairman of the Board Christoph Vitzthum says that the new strategy is a clear increase in ambition that ensures that Hanken continues to achieve important goals, also as a global player.

"The strategy is concrete and requires close co-operation with all our important partners, alumni and networks.”
