Guest lecture by Yuriy Bugay, Ministry of Economic Development, Ukraine
Corruption is a big problem in the public sector around the world. Reducing it is a major issue in increasing global welfare. The public procurement* reform (associated with PROZORRO project launched by the Transparency International Ukraine and by Maidan volunteers) in Ukraine, where transparency, and fairness are seen as cornerstones, is a promising example on how ICT can be used to reduce corruption in the public sector, raising competitiveness of the economy as a whole.
Yuriy Bugay, an expert from the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine, will cover history, results and perspectives of the recent public procurement reform. Yuriy is a star in the team of young reformers in the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine.
