Hanken AI Spotlight - Towards Responsible Government AI Systems
AI Spotlight är en serie 30 minuter långa online-presentationer där Hanken delar med sig av färska insikter, nya forskningsrön och praktiska konsekvenser av AI för forskning, näringsliv och samhälle. Presentationerna hålls på engelska.
Government agencies implement artificial intelligence (AI) systems to support or automate public services. However, such systems have also been found to reproduce injustice and result in expensive technology failures. This project sheds light on the anatomy of harmful AI systems in two ways. First, it provides a systemic explanation of how harmful government AI systems eventuate and exert impacts on citizens and other stakeholders. Second, it fills a critical void in knowledge on how harm caused by AI systems can be recognised and challenged.
