Johanna Lilius is Head of International Relations and manages the International Partnerships and Mobility team which are part of the Office of External Relations, Communications and International Partnerships. The team handles Hanken's exchange scheme for students, the Erasmus+ programme for mobility of students and staff and the coordination of Hanken's partnership in the European university alliance ENGAGE.EU. Johanna Lilius manages the network of more than 130 partner universities, negotiates new exchange agreements with the leadership of Hanken, handles new initiatives such as the planning of the Nordic Winter School on Sustainability with Lund University School of Economics and Management that was given for the first time in 2023. Johanna Lilius was secretary of the working group on the mandatory semester abroad. The group was formed and chaired by Hanken's Rector in 2008 when the mandatory semester abroad was planned and integrated in the Bachelor programme (as the first and only university in Finland having a semester abroad as a mandatory part of the degree).
