His primary areas of expertise are marketing strategy, market-shaping, and consumer culture theory.
Before joining Hanken School of Economics as Assistant Professor (Tenure Track), Dr. Diaz Ruiz was Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland (New Zealand), Assistant Professor at Kedge Business School (France), and Postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University (Finland)
Furthermore, Dr. Diaz Ruiz develops teaching methods in close collaboration with insights agencies to help train the next generation of insights professionals. His teaching approach has been developed in close collaboration with industry professionals considering the requirements of marketing agencies.
