The 7th Vaasa Banking Research Workshop
The 7th Vaasa Banking Research Workshop is organized by Hanken School of Economics and the University of Vaasa and will take place on August 24, 2026, at the University of Vaasa (Auditorium Nissi).
The Workshop is a one-day event that brings together scholars to present and discuss topical research on various aspects of banking, financial intermediation, and financial stability. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:
- Financial intermediation and regulation
- Financial stability and economic growth
- Corporate governance of financial institutions
- Sustainability and social responsibility in the banking industry
- Risk management and measurement
- Politics and banking
- Financial innovation and recent banking sector developments
The keynote speaker is Professor Thorsten Beck from the University of Zurich.
