During the afternoon seminar we discuss comprehensive security in the region in the light of a changing environment, with representation from the Finnish ministry of Defence, and with the ambassadors of four countries in the region. In addition, Hanken's research about the need to redefine and secure critical societal functions in the face of digitalisation, geopolitical tensions, and global uncertainties is presented. Så kallade gröna övergångar till ”förnybar energi”, som vindkraft, över hela världen skapar nya socioekologiska problem, intensifierar klimatförändringarna och bredare miljöförändringar. Kan vi bygga en framtid för förnybar energi som främjar allas välbefinnande och inte tillväxtkapitalismen? Hur kan vi göra det? Det här föredraget kommer att fokusera på hur vi kan tänka på radikala alternativ för övergången till förnybar energi utifrån ett postkapitalistiskt och posthumant perspektiv. Det kommer att fokusera på ”ekologier för förnybar energi i samhället”, som omfattar några relevanta kamper och initiativ och strategier för utveckling av förnybar energi som kan ge näring åt bredare transformativ förändring.

So-called green transitions to “renewable energy”, such as wind energy, across the world create new socioecological problems, intensifying climate change and broader environmental change. Can we build renewable energy futures that work for the well-being of all and not for growth capitalism? How? This talk will focus on how we can think about radical alternatives on renewable energy transitions from a postcapitalist and a posthuman lens. It will focus on "community renewable energy ecologies", covering some relevant struggles and initiatives and strategies for renewable energy development that could nourish broader transformative change.
