Hanken School of Economics will host an online seminar with Professor Nezih Altay on Wednesday 18 August 2021 at 15.00-16.00 (Helsinki time).
Nezih Altay is a Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University in Chicago, USA. In his research he tries to bring a supply chain perspective to humanitarian problems. Recently he has been working on problems related to information flow between humanitarian organizations and beneficiaries, migrant flows and resilient supply chain network design.
His work with the HUMLOG Institute at Hanken focuses on the challenges of delivering humanitarian aid in conflict zones. This work aims to identify the unique characteristics and requirements of logistics in conflict zones and lead scholars to novel and challenging problems in this domain.
The topic of his seminar will be Humanitarian Deliveries in Conflict Zones
The seminar will be held in English. The seminar is free of charge and is open for Hanken alumni, students, staff and corporate partners to register by 16 August.
