Welcome to a breakfast seminar with Fulbright Professor Bonnie Buchanan

Professor Bonnie Buchanan from Seattle University is visiting Hanken as a Fulbright scholar until the end of January 2019. She will hold a seminar open to public on 23 January 2019 at Hanken in Helsinki.

Professor Buchanan is the Howard Bosanko Professor of International Economics and Finance at Seattle University. Her current research covers CSR, corporate governance, securitization (including a book she has written) and now also FinTech.

During her stay at Hanken she plans to examine the evolution of the Fintech sector in the Nordic region and how it has been different from other financial markets. The data for this project will be both qualitative and quantitative.

The topic of her seminar will be The Rise of FinTech

The agreement between Hanken and the Fulbright Center provides prominent American scholars the opportunity to spend a period at Hanken. During their visit, the scholar will lecture or conduct research and contribute in disseminating Hanken’s research and knowledge within the business community and society.

Fulbright Center is a service organisation that specialises in academic exchange between Finland and North America. The main goal is to support the internationalisation of Finnish universities and research.
