Professor Emeritus Christian Grönroos who presented the idea for establishing CERS, Centre for Relationship Marketing and Service Management, in 1994, has recently written about the birth of CERS, in the CERS blog. CERS is one of the research centres which together have developed the internationally accepted school of marketing thought, referred to as the Nordic School of Service Marketing and Management. The book "The Nordic School: Service Marketing and Management for the Future” gives a comprehensive understanding of the discipline. The book is free to download.
