Abstract: ‘The emergence of online learning has promised to revolutionize higher education, enable personalized instruction, and advance a data-driven science of learning. As the initial MOOC hype has subsided we ask questions of how the renegotiation of the production of education may impart change at the university and the wider ecology of higher education.’
