Johanna Karanko and Nicola Lindertz are Hanken alumni who both became ambassadors. Karanko is currently stationed in Brazil while Lindertz serves in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Among other things, they are working to promote the interests of Finnish companies and they have recognised many business opportunities in South America.
On Friday 1 November 2024, the Hanken School of Economics organised its thirteenth doctoral conferment ceremony. Hanken conferred 60 doctoral degrees, nine honorary doctorates and two jubilee doctorates.

A new one-year master's programme in sustainability reporting and financial analysis will start as a cooperation between Hanken School of Economics in Vaasa and Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics. This is Finland’s first one-year master’s programme on a university level.
