The interest in business studies continues to be strong in Finland. In this spring’s second joint application round, Hanken School of Economics received a total of 3,179 applications (2025: 3,279, 2024: 2,889). The master's programme received a total of 426 applications from 268 applicants (2025: 257), which was the highest number of individual applicants ever.

It is extremely regrettable and entirely against Hanken’s values that adult content has been displayed in the men’s restroom at Cella Nova, which is the Student Association in Vaasa’s premises in the centre of town. We take a clear stance against what has occurred. The Student Association’s new board swiftly decided to end this practice immediately and has issued an apology on behalf of the entire association.
