- Vart femte år ordnar Hanken en solenn doktorspromotion. Under en högtidlig ceremoni får alla som har avlagt doktorsexamen under de senaste 5 åren sin doktorshatt och ett diplom. Samtidigt promoveras hedersdoktorer som genom vetenskaplig, kulturell eller samhällelig verksamhet har gjort sig förtjänta av titeln hedersdoktor. - För att fira sitt 50-årsjubileum har Marcus Wallenbergs Stiftelse för Företagsekonomisk Forskning beslutat att stödja inrättandet av två professurer: en vid Svenska handelshögskolan (Hanken) och en annan vid Aalto-universitetets handelshögskola.
