Forms

A collection of forms for students

Here is a collection of forms that students at Hanken need at different stages of their studies. Several of these forms can also be found on other pages and most of them should be submitted to the Student Service in Helsinki or the Office of Study Affairs in Vaasa.

Please read the forms thoroughly before submitting them - you might need a signature or you might need to attach a certificate of some sort.

This e-form is used to submit your Finnish personal identity code or name information to Hanken. Please use this e-form if your personal information is incorrect, if it has changed or if you need to submit, for example, your Finnish personal identity code for the first time.

When you have completed your studies and submitted your thesis you need to apply for your degree certificate.

You can find the instructions and the application form on the Degree Certificate page.

If some of your courses have expired you need to apply for their reinstatement.

Please fill in the application form for updating an expired course Opens in new window .

Registration form for visiting doctoral students = Freemovers (doc):

In order to get the student discount within Helsinki's regional transport you need a valid student card. If you are applying for the student discount for the first time, or if you do not have a student card, you need to present this form (once it has been signed at the Student Service in Helsinki) to the transport officials. Vaasa's regional transport demands only a certificate of enrolment.

If your study right is about to expire you can apply for extension of study right to complete your studies. You can find more information on the page on Limited duration of studies.

If you do not register as either present or absent in time, you will lose your right to study at Hanken and must apply to re-activate your student status if you wish to continue your studies.

If you no longer wish to study at Hanken School of Economics you need to terminate your study right.

The notification to relinquish a study right is binding. If you later wish to resume your studies, you must apply for a new study right through the regular application.

What are the consequences of relinquishing a right to study?

Notifications of relinquishing the right to study are irrevocable. After relinquishing your study right, you cannot regain the study right by applying for re-enrollment or a renewed right to study. If you later wish to resume your studies, you must apply for a new study right through our main admissions process.

In what situations may I have to relinquish my right to study?

Relinquishment of your study right is only required in a few circumstances. For example, in order to receive unemployment benefits, you usually do not need to relinquish your study right; it is sufficient to demonstrate that your studies have been terminated. Similarly, failing to register for the academic year or if your study right has already expired does not usually require you to relinquish your study right.

In practice, the need to relinquish a study right may arise only if, in a matter concerning unemployment benefits, you are unable to demonstrate that your studies have been terminated. In such cases, you must relinquish your study right even if you have already lost it due to failure to complete the annual registration or if the previous study right has already expired.

How do I relinquish my right to study?

You can relinquish your study right by completing a notification of termination of studies. Fill in this e-form in order to do that: Termination of Right to Study

Once you have submitted the notification, you can no longer revoke your decision to relinquish your study right. The last day of your study right will be the date on which your notification of termination is received.

If you do not have access to Suomi.fi/Mobiilivarmenne e-identification, use this pdf-form instead and submit the form to  Student Service in Helsinki or the Office of Study Affairs in Vaasa. For doctoral student please send the filled form to: doctoral.studies@hanken.fi
