SIHTI (Status of Human Rights Performance of Finnish Companies) is a project under the Government of Finland’s research, analysis and assessment activities. Hanken has a coordinating role in this project.

More information regarding the SIHTI report can be found on the project website

The purpose of SIHTI is to obtain a comprehensive and in-depth overview of how Finnish companies are fulfilling their human rights responsibility, i.e. how they have implemented the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

SIHTI is based on the international CHRB methodology, which allows for tracking of changes in companies’ human rights performance over time.

A related podcast where the SIHTI-researchers discuss the historical development of human rights questions in relation to business, the relevance of the SIHTI-project in Finland, as well as the CHRB-methodology can be found from 14 December here https://blogs.hanken.fi/sustainability-unwrapped/
