HUMLOG Institute and UNHCR sign Project Partnership

The HUMLOG Institute (a division of Hanken School of Economics) and UNHCR have signed a Project Partnership Agreement.

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, is expanding their training to include more distance learning opportunities. This provides more staff with access to distance learning and greatly reduces the cost of training staff worldwide.

The three modules on Supply Chain Management (SCM) are scheduled to be developed in late 2016 as part of UNHCR online Supply Chain Management Certification Program. The signing of this agreement establishes Hanken School of Economics as UNHCR’s Partner for the development of educational materials for Certification Programme of Supply Chain Management.

“This is an immense honor and we are glad to take on this responsibility,” said Ira Haavisto, Director of the HUMLOG Institute.

Since 1950, UNHCR has faced multiple crises on multiple continents, and provided vital assistance to refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced and stateless people, many of whom have nowhere to turn.

UNHCR helps to save lives and build better futures for millions forced from home.
