Hanken student awarded for best “Prüfung Wirtschaftsdeutsch”

Hanken student Elina Pirjetä obtained the highest score in the exam this year.

This year, five Hanken students took part in the international exam “Prüfung Wirtschaftsdeutsch”, which in Finland is organised by the Deutsch-Finnische Handelskammer in cooperation with Goethe-Institut. Every year, the German language within Hanken’s language centre offers a preparation course (“Wirtschaftskommunikation”) for the exam. All the students who participated in the preparation course at Hanken passed the exam consisting of both a written and an oral part.

Elina Pirjetä from Hanken scored the highest result of all Finnish participants this year. She was awarded for her excellent result with the Friedrich-Russegger prize. This prize of 250 euros was awarded by the Deutsch-Finnische Handelskammer. The diploma and award ceremony was conducted on 29 May 2015 by Magnus Bargum, Councillor of Commerce, and Dorothee Janetzke-Wenzel, the German Ambassador to Finland.
